Meet Andy Hyde, a valued advertising extraordinaire of the AAF community. 

Describe your role and the impact you make on your company.

Over the past seven plus months, our Teads team has been working in partnership with UpWest, an upstart Columbus based e-commerce company who is focused on providing comfort through clothing sourced and produced in a consciously sustainable way. Through the combined focus on UpWest’s top/mid funnel KPIs, we were able to partner on their initial go-to-market awareness initiative, which drove the average site visitor from Teads to explore their catalog for over 30 seconds via the use of high impact video and display media. This year, we’ve refocused our approach to rely on performance and efficiency driving media coupled with new and improved high impact display creative, which has allowed us to be fortunate enough to continue to be a part of UpWest’s partner strategy as we move through the launch of their Fall & Winter lines over these next few months and into 2021.

Highlight a recent project or initiative that makes you proud.

Why did you decide to enter the marketing/advertising/creative space?

I had a unique path to the marketing/advertising space as I started in a completely different field (Third party logistics) right out of college. After a few years working in that industry, I made the move to the radio industry, focusing on news and sports play by play radio (Chicago Bears, Cubs & White Sox). I quickly noticed myself gravitating toward focusing on the digital platforms within the radio environment and knew I wanted to make the move to the digital space. After about a year on the data side of the industry, I joined the Teads organization. Overall, marketing/ advertising has been of interest due to both my mother’s career within the industry and with the interest/knowledge gained through my time in courses I took at Miami of Ohio.

What brands and/or industry work inspire you and why?

The media industry is dynamic, forcing both myself and the Teads organization to constantly adjust and better our advertising solutions to bring the most successful tactics to market for our partners. Seeing the positive impact that can be made through marketing and advertising vehicles inspires me to constantly think bigger and better.

Why is AAF Columbus important to you?
Since becoming an active member within the AAF, the organization has provided a wealth of industry education and networking opportunities. The AAF of Columbus is a great resource to gather likeminded individuals to exchange knowledge and ultimately better one’s scope and knowledge of the media industry as a whole
